The Perfect Storm

Why So Many Kids Are Struggling Today

If you’ve been noticing that something feels “off” with your child — their sleep, focus, emotions, digestion, or sensory responses — you are not imagining it.

And you are not alone.

More and more families are finding themselves in the same place:
tired, overwhelmed, and being told to “wait it out” or “it’s just a phase”… while knowing deep down there’s more to the story.

This free workshop was created to help you finally understand what may actually be happening beneath the surface.

Inside, we’ll explore how modern stressors can build over time in a child’s developing nervous system — and why that can show up as challenges with regulation, behavior, learning, sleep, digestion, and emotional balance.

You’ll leave with a clearer understanding of your child, a new lens for what you’re seeing, and a grounded next step forward.

What Parents have been seeing

  • Sleep challenges and bedtime battles

  • Big emotions, meltdowns or anxiety

  • Focus and attention difficulties

  • Digestive concerns or immune stress

  • Emotional regulation challenges

  • Developmental delays or behaviors that seem hard to explain

And while every child is different, many parents find themselves saying the same thing:

“I just feel like something deeper is going on.”

Sleep, focus, digestion, emotional regulation, sensory sensitivities, behavior, immune stress, or development stress can feel confusing — especially when they don’t seem obviously connected.

But what if they are?

Today’s children are growing up in what many providers and researchers describe as a “Perfect Storm” — a growing combination of stressors that can influence how a child’s nervous system develops, adapts, and responds over time.

What we’ll explore

Prenatal and Early life stress

Pregnancy, maternal stress, early illness, feeding challenges, or difficult early experiences can all shape how a child’s body learns to adapt to the world around them.

Birth Stress and Early Adaptation

Birth is one of the most important transitions for a developing nervous system. For some children, interventions, physical stress, or challenges during delivery may create added stress during those earliest stages of development.

Environment & Nervous System Under Stress

Today’s kids are navigating more than ever before — When stress builds faster than the body can adapt, some children may begin showing signs that their nervous system is overwhelmed. For one child, that may look like emotional outbursts. For another, sensory sensitivities, sleep struggles, anxiety, digestive challenges, focus difficulties, recurring illness, or developmental concerns.

This workshop was created to help families better understand these connections, feel more informed, and walk away with a clearer understanding of what may be happening beneath the surface.
